One early winter morning mom and dad got a phone call saying ,¨Due to critical icy roads school will be closed today!¨ they let Mason, my 6 year old brother, and I sleep in as long as we wanted. I woke up to Mason jumping on my bed chanting SNOW DAY, SNOW DAY, SNOW DAY Emily get up let’s go! I stumbled down the stairs with Mason pulling my arm when we got down mom and dad had made us cinnamon waffles and hot cocoa with a ton of whipped cream. After breakfast we curled up in our favorite blankets and watched our favorite christmas movie! After 2 hours of our favorite movie we raced up the stairs to get all of our snow gear on to go outside in the snow! When we ran out the front door into the fresh snow we raced down the hill to find our dogs. Finally when we came back over the hill our two huskies were pulling us on our sleds! We were playing outside all day long having snowball fights, sledding, attempting to make an igloo, and making snow cones! That night we had potato soup and then got ready for bed.
